Nike x Saçai Waffle LD Multi Green. Sacai has revisited one of Nike's most iconic silhouettes, the Daybreak. In 1984, Joan Benoit Samuelson won the first women's marathon in the history of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles wearing the Daybreaks, changing the world of women's running forever.
The release of the sacai x Nike LDV Waffle is one of the most anticipated of the year, it will be released in two different colorways: "Green Gusto / Black-Varsity Maize-Safety Orange" and "Varsity Blue / Del Sol-Varsity Red-Black".
The reinterpretation sees the grafting of materials such as suede on the heel and around the laces with the addition of leather on multiple layers; two Swooshes characterize the shoe and the upper is made entirely of breathable mesh fabric; the laces have also undergone a change, becoming double and stacked while the midsole protrusion is made of EVA rubber, a material that derives from the processing of thermoplastic resins and calcium carbonates. The Waffle sole insert, invented by Bill Bowerman, co-founder of Nike, in 1974 perfectly blends history and innovation.
